The fairy lover of Ireland

The fairy lover of Ireland: Leannan Sidhe na hEireann is a bridge between this world and the Celtic otherworld. Her principle role is to seduce men, with her otherworld charms. If a man falls under her spell and becomes infatuated by attaching himself to her physical beauty, ignoring the inner, he is seen as being impure loosing his opportunity to become awakened and inflamed with an awareness and a purity of spirit greater than his own.The fairy lover of Ireland, is the guardian Elemental, uniting with and permitting all that is noble and majestic to pass onwards into the inner realms, to begin the quest to seek the Fairy Queen in all her beauty and splendour.

And thus the Leannan Sidhe na hEireann is a temptress to the outer senses only and a divine liberator and transformer to the inner senses.

Rowan Fairy of Ireland

The Rowan is the 2nd tree in the Beth-Luis-Nion tree alphabet otherwise known as the quicken or mountain ash. The rowan has long enjoyed its reputation to protect against enchantment. Its name is linked with the Norse 'runa', a charm, and the Sanskrit 'runa', meaning a magician. It is the tree most widely used as a prophylactic against lightning and witches charms of all sorts: for example, bewitched horses can be controlled only with a rowan whip. Another use for the wood was for metal divining. If one examines a red rowan berry, they will discover it caries a tiny five-pointed star, or pentagram- the ancient symbol of protection. Imbolc is one of the four great Irish fire feasts held during the rowan month. February the 1st is referred to as St.Brigit's day.

And thus the fairy elemental who embody's the rowan tree essence, is known as the fairy of protection. The second month extends from January 21st to February 17th.

Alder fairy of Ireland

Th fourth tree in the Beth - Luis - Lion tree alphabet is the alder (fearn). Like the wilow, the alder is a water loving tree, whose wood is oily and water resistant. The alder is celebrated for yielding three fine dyes: red for its bark, green form its flowers, brown from its twigs: typifying fire, water, and earth. The alder was associated with sacred kings, connected with Bran's alder cult. One reason for the alder's sanctity is that when it is felled the wood, at first white, seems to bleed crimson,as though it were a man. The green dye is associated in British folklore with fairies clothes. The alder is also known as the tree of fire. The alder branch by which Bran was recognized is the token of resurrection. The fourth month extends from March 18th to April 14th, and it includes the Spring Equinox. And thus the fairy elemental that embody's the alder spirit is the fairy of resurrection.

Birch Fairy of Ireland

The first tree of the Beth-Luis-Nion tree alphabet is the birch. The silver birch was a holy tree, revered by pagan Celtic and Germanic tribes. In Britain the Druids gave its name to a midwinter month. The birch was considered to have sacred powers of renewal and purification, so its rods were used in the ritual of driving out the spirits of the old year. It is the earliest forest tree, to put out new leaves. In Scandinavia its leafing marks the beginning of the agricultural year, as farmers use it as a signal for sowing their spring wheat. The timber of the birch shows no distinction between heartwood and sapwood. A tea can be made from young birch leaves, beneficial to those suffering from arthritic and rheumatic conditions. Despite its delicate appearance it is one of the world's hardiest trees, and in the British Isles, with rowan, will grow higher up mountains than any other deciduous tree.

And thus the fairy elemental that embody's the birch spirit is the fairy of new beginnings. The first month extends from December 24th to January 20th.

Ash Fairy of Ireland

The third tree in the Beth-Luis-Nion tree alphabet is the ash. Before the coming of Christianity, the people of Scandinavia worshipped the ash as a sacred tree, symbol of the Life-force. Yggdrasil, the Tree Of The World, was a giant ash whose roots reached down into the deepest pits of Earth, and whose crown touched the highest points of heaven, and whose massive trunk united the two. The ash was believed to have medicinal as well as mystical properties. It was also believed that if a sick child was passed through the cleft of an ash tree, it would be cured. Burning ash logs were said to drive out evil spirits from a dwelling place. The wood of the ash is reputed for its strength and pliability. It is because of this exceptional strength the wood is in demand for a wide variety of items, including oars, and spars, tool handles, and hockey and hurling sticks.

Holly Fairy of Ireland

The eighth tree of the Beth-Luis-Nion tree alphabet is the holly. In days gone by it was considered unlucky to cut down a holly tree. The superstition may have arose because of the tree's close association with winter and Christmas, due to its evergreen leaves and its long-lasting berries. People then associated the holly with eternity and the power to ward of evil and ruin. The male and female trees both bear small, lightly scented flowers, but it is only the female tree that bears the distinctive red berries. The berries, if eaten when ripe, act as a strong purgative, effective in ridding the body of unwanted waste material. The bark and leaves can be made into poultices that are very good for placing on broken and setting bones.

And thus the fairy elemental that embody's the holly spirit is the fairy of rebirth. The eighth month extends from July 8th to August 4th.

Celtic Shield of grace

There is a divine power that alone can assist you upon the often perilous pathway of Life, and that is a Supreme Grace from the Divine. The power of Grace will only appear in foundations of Light and Truth, and will pull away from falsehood and ignorance. For if it were to yield to the burdensome demands of falsehood, it would defeat its own purpose. On your part there must be a total and sincere self-opening to the Divine Power, which in turn permits an unfolding transformation that calls from below and and a Supreme Grace from above that answers.

The Celtic Shield of Grace, is a symbolic weopon, to hold up to falshood, and everything else that withstands it, and attempts to prevent its divine presence in the world. The shield while deflecting hostile forces, also strengthens the bearer so that the power of Divine Grace will constantly abide with you.
